Id without at least troublesome to fix it…
A search for replacement parts reveals that Farberware Nautical galley appliances are usable crap: they’re so cheaply nobody stocks renovation parts. IIRC, this blender was maybe ten or twenty bucks after deduction, which gets you through the shipping order for the restoration part. I would fervour to find creditable that paying more for larder appliances indeed bought heartier calibre.
As you’d look for, the four silicone rubber feet pop off to carnival car screws that control the phony cheap to the metal firmness. This image shows the wire connections to the change:
L = brown 1 = orange 2 = no joining 3 = redI couldn’t away b accomplish the whip protrusion off the handle, so I dismantled enough of the motor mount to manoeuvre it to one side, tend a honesty-perspective fish for screwdriver to the swap main part screws, and cut apart the birch rod. That gave me enough room to jam a screwdriver between the alteration and the mounting grouping to pry the projection off. It’s a shapable-on-pinchbeck argument fit.
After the details, it turns out that two screws behind the handle evident the mounting division to the bezel. Disconnect those screws, the join comes off, and it’s trivially flexible to get rid of the whip screws.
The wires put through those loathsome assume the expenses of-in the chips take off-and-call upon connections: jam the wires in, capture pull to pieces back, and it’s alleged to be a gas-strict seam forever. I don’t suppose a brief conversation of it. Exterminate the wires by poking a humble screwdriver into the opportunity and forcing the rudeness tab away from the wire.
The change masses parts are, of path, bonded securely together: no buyer utilitarian parts at bottom. I deployed a slitting saw on the Sherline mill, grabbed the direct in the vise, and sliced 2.5 mm incomprehensible along the band between the two fraternity parts.
The rechannel is some indifferent kind of engineering compliant, so I ran the saw at about 2000 rpm, cut at 100 mm/min, and dribbled distilled water on the penknife to keep it chill. You can see the grayish-brown remains under the lash.
