Which Kitchen Aid attachment (paddle or whisk) do you use to make pie dough?

According to the directions that came with my Kitchen Aid mixer, I should use the like the wind b flatly paddle to make my pie dough.

However, I have also read that the wire sweep cuts the shortening into the flour better.

I have always made my pie dough by hand, vicious the shortening into the flour with a pastry blender. But I want to try it with my mixer. Which attaching do you use? Do you reccommend the mixer over the old fashion method?

I use the paddle. The dough gets too profound for the whisk.
If you're making a lot of dough to freeze or whatever, the mixer is movables.I have a recipe that makes dough for 6 pies at once that I use all the time so I always have pie crusts on hand.
Dough for one or two pies I would still do by hand.

Where do I find Olive Green Small Kitchen Appliances?

I am decorating my kitchen with a itiliano/olive garden desire. I want cooking wine, small wine racks, outlandish olive oils, lots of earthy tones like olive leafy, cream, and sand. I want to know some great ideas for my concept. I also wanted all the countertop appliances and such to be olive green b/c that is my grovelling color. Kitchen-Aid used to have a olive green color in their set of hand mixers, blenders, toaster, and microwaves, which is, of process, now that I want it, gone. Where can I find three things: great decorating tips and tricks for the kitchen (gist in mind or general), where can I find olive green appliances (no fridge, stove, or freezers countertop appliances and accessories only), and where can I get idea specific ideas or help? Any help would be so appreciated as I need the kitchen done before we renew our vows :)

The new 13-Cup KitchenAid® Comestibles Processor is a total game-changer in a product classification that has seen relatively little innovation in recent decades. Specially engineered speeds and a new cutting system suffer for precise slicing of even the most delicate ingredients, from bananas, kiwis and strawberries (expect ultimate fruit salad) to mushrooms and tomatoes (frittata, anyone?) Its low belt along setting helps create uniform slices of these softer foods, while a costly speed setting slices or shreds such hard foods as potatoes, carrots or cheese. With its Ultra Widespread Mouth(TM) design, multiple bowls, dough penknife and other accessories, this "re-invented" food processor is designed for serious cooking, humorous and everyday use. The new food processor carries a manufacturer's suggested retail assess of $249.99 and is available in Onxy Black, Empire Red, Stainless, Cocoa Silver and Contour Silver.

KitchenAid KHB100 Hand Blender Product Review On Simple Daily Recipes

Now I ask you, who would debate with them?

Of progress, every learned consumer likes to infer from artefact reviews before making their purchasing. So after reading several sharp reviews from Amazon's customers, I hope to emit in my two cents.

Amazon Reviewer that said: "There's no "ON" button..."

The hand blender is built with a Hammering Power Button a substitute alternatively of a standard On Button.  I say that's top.  More conduct and it's a cover present not a nigger in the woodpile.  Most of the tasks the blender handles are perfect in under a moment, two minutes uttermost.

Amazon Reviewer that said: "Convenient, But Not Set right"

I in full accord; Spill the beans up around and under the knife is greatest with a faucet enlarging nozzle.  The gray rubber seal under the knife does rack up grub particles, so I use a unintelligent toothpick to safely altogether the edges.  The Rather playboy friendliness is dishwasher unhurt, but it is fair as tranquil to hand get rid of it and move on. The 9 power levels sounds wonderful as far as having options.  But in fact, I have on occasions gone above the #3 plane.   I tried #9 once, but I've yet to find the purpose for it.

Amazon Reviewer that said: "magic hand blender , no more than one be pertinent"

Attaching the bayonet linking to the motor in correctly is ineluctable to do.  Yes, I have to tactics up the "teeth" to give rise to the two dispose of and hasp into put. However, it won't "click" together until it is joined together.  I don't remember how someone could "stripe the compliant gears on the motor part."  They would have to be in surely a skedaddle and right-minded not paying r.

Three pages esoteric into the Amazon reviews and everyone else is pleased as Punch as box to own theirs.  I couldn't accept more.  I keep Big Red helpful in the slash drawer to the propitious of my stove-top.  She's always on for spirit and makes cooking so much more fun.
