A West Chippewa Drive building with four separate nightclubs and bars has been acquired by the owners of two of the clubs.
Adam Parade and Daniel Valentine, who own the Bayou and Pure nightclubs, singly, bought the building at 67 West Chippewa from Michael Sherk and Joseph Macaluso for $1.26 million.
Trek, 30, and Valentine, 28, want to spruce up the three-untruth building, which also houses Bottoms Up, 67 West, and purpose space.
They're working with contractors, architects and design firms, and blueprint to develop additional space in the 33,000-square-foot construction for other tenants. They're also planning a historic renovation to "conspicuous the exterior up to its original grandeur."
The goal, Trek said, is to contribute to revitalizing downtown Buffalo and firstly the Chippewa entertainment district, which has faced criticism for hosting parties aimed at younger crowds.
"We're eager about a lot of the things that are going on on the street, and we're just trying to be part of it," Trek said. "We want to be a true entertainment neighbourhood that Buffalo can be proud of. We want to be part of the charge that turns it around."
