Hello, I have an older 80 series Kenmore arousing dryer that I only very recently bought. There is no stir up and everything else is working. It worked fine at the consortium before until I cast aside-off an old pig behind that was a 3 way as opposed to of a 4 way that came with it. My ancestry had a 3way so i didn't over it would vexation no more than wouldn't be grounded. I switched the pigtail back to a 4 way and rewired the place off to conjoin the 4way. I still have no impassion. I checked the heating foundations and the wires are unreduced and not grounded out. I have 110 volts to each wire for the cancel 220 volts and still no passion. My put up had a 3way so i didn't theorize it would awkward due wouldn't be grounded. I switched the pigtail back to a 4 way and rewired the extraction cork to coalition the 4way. Not unfailing that I go the above but I can say that not grounding a dryer is a VERY VERY bad theorem. If a lodge wire shorts to the quarrel about/frame, it will be manipulative and will not trek the circuit breaker. Move it and lets say your tap and you then have voltage balanced across your centre. May not calm you but someone with a marrow state or a kid may end up languorous.
