Is my new Amana heat pump supposed to take a few seconds to start and stop?
I well-deserved had a new Amana 4 ton heat pump installed. When you turn on the A/C or the thermostat clicks on, you consider a click, and then it takes a few seconds for the A/C and blower to respond. It's like it slowly starts up after a few seconds. My old A/C had proximate response to on/off. Is this normal with newer A/C's?
It's interesting. The new ones have electronic boards in them. They have to prove a few thing before they start. Also they have however delays to prevent rapid starting and stopping of the item which can damage the compressor.
