when purchasing a cooktop, do I have to get the same brand of downdraft?

I would like to securing a Bosch cooktop (that doesn't have a downdraft with it). Do I have to buy a Bosch downdraft or can I buy any downdraft (as covet as it's the same size as the cooktop)?
You can use any downdraft you want as extensive as it is a stand alone system. that is it does not connect to the cook top. Thermador, Larder Aid, and the list goes on and on.
It doesn't even have to be the same size.
Since your buying a Bosch cook top, I will take upon oneself your using upper end appliances and if your also replacing the counter top, you must pay particular attention to the size of both units and inform your fabricator that you are using varied brands.
I recently installed a Thermador cook top with a Nautical galley aid down draft.

Which stove brand is best?
Jan 19, 2007 by flickgeekazoid | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I am looking at remodeling my caboose and I plan to install a new gas cooktop. I would love your opinions on which would be the best stovetop to advantage. I love to cook and try to pretend I am a gourmet! I have wondered about a Viking, Wolf, or Bosch cooktop. Thanks for any nick!
With greatest satisfaction is a function of price and style of cooking you do.
I have a 50 year old Chambers with a Plunge BROILER! Flame comes from the top not the bottom, and I literally could not live without it! But I don't be sure of any modern stove with this feature. [However I don't own an outdoor barbecue and if I did the broiler indubitably wouldn't mean so much to me.]
If you like Wok cooking, you will need a particular burner to provide the extra BTUs you will need. Well-adjusted burners provide only 8-10,000 BTUs, not enough to do this style authentically. 20,000-30,000 should be adequate but professional burners can have far more than that. Gaggenau has a good one.
There is also this new technology call Attractive Induction that heats Stainless Steel and Cast Iron pots with no glow or hot surface. The glass surface of this stove stays reduce to the touch while the pan gets hot. It also has a solid glass surface that cleans unquestionably. Wolf sells a version of this.
Another version of glass top uses an infrared fever source. It does get hot, but heats and cools nearly instantly offering the speed of gas with the cleanliness and design possibilities of energy.
If you were redoing the kitchen for resale, then I'd go with a brand everyone knows like Viking or Wolf, but since you are a cook I'd get off down the features you most want as a chef. For me, I'd use the Wok burner several times a week. Possibly you have children just old enough for you to start teaching to cook themselves so the lessen touch easy clean surface would be a big bonus.
They even have this foolish electric steamer / pasta cooker that sits penetrating into your counter. It heats with a built in electric heat horse's mouth. You fill it with water from a spigot over the top (like the pot filler style) and it has a impair out of the bottom. So there is no handling of hot pots of water. No dumping them. No steam in the visage. No big pots taking up space on your stove. The food decent lifts out in the included basket. Very Cool!
Summing up, you may not be looking for a solitary cook top, but modules / stations that do each job at their best.
Then I would suggest you take your cooking itch list and go to a appliance store dedicated to the high end remodeler. You can also search the web. www.AbtElectronics.com and www.Homeclick.com have tons of high end material.

Whirlpool Gold Accubake Wall Oven - Sounds like a helicopter ...
by mszwarc5
I went to use the top oven of my 2-barrier oven set today and it sounded like a helicopter when it was management (a low humming undamaged). It was heating the way it as per usual does, however, I turned it off only for the clap to remain the way it does when it is cooling off. I proceeded to use the diminish oven with the same uproar. The chow is cooking, however, it is not average. My preserve is helpful, is this something he could fix?
