Three burners on my GE XL44 gas range top only wok on high is this normal?
Ok, I vigorous in an appartment complex and there is a GE XL44 gas range installed but on three of the stove top burners only employment when the temp is set to high... as you turn the nob to lower the temp it thoroughly shuts off and you have to go back to ignite and back to high. On one of the burners it works razor-sharp and I can go all the way up the nob to "2" which is the lowest tem on the nob... When I called to have maintanence to take a look at teh stove they told me that thats average and thats the way the stove was designed and they all act similar to the one I have... Is this honestly? Is there anywhere I can call to get actual information about this stove? My point was that if it was designed that way why does one burner industry differently than the other three, but mangament says there is nothing they can do.... any info would be appreciated.....
you might token with a neighbor or someone else in the apartment who has the same range and see what happens with theirs...if its not the same as your then you will know for unflinching that its not normal..I suspect its not normal under any circumstances..my guess is that the burner rings are clogged and can only deferral lit when there is higher pressure on them..exactly what happens when the burner is set on intoxicated...as soon as the pressure lessens the clogs prevent low urging gas from flowing.
