My In-laws live a couple towns over and their electricity bill is 2 to 3 times higher than mine, and we function in comparibly sized houses, but their electricity is owned by Edison. So logically they would 100% argue in favor of gas over electricity.
That to me is the biggest subject to consider in this respect. But I think most importantly I would go with style if you are on the hedge about it, and cant decide. Go with the one that would look better, or work better for you. But a key quirk to think about is your utility bill.
