induction cooktops /pots?

i wanna buy an induction cooktop, is this a considerable idea?
are there any pots that are non-stick coated, AND are metal coated (for the induction compatibility) ?


i have an induction cooktop at untroubled b in, it works great as long as your pots and pans are flat bottom. i am no excellent on coated and non-coated i have both and they work fine.

Is the magnet test enough (i.e., it sticks to bottom of pot) to be sure that it is safe for induction cooking?

I am inspirational into a place with an induction cooktop. I have an old but good set of Lagostina pots. I can't do the magnet test lawful yet (b/c they are currently packed) but I tried it on a cheap ikea pot and it stuck potent (it didn't stick to my nice frying pan - oh well). I fair-minded want to be sure that this is sufficient and there is nothing else I should be aware of.

The pans must definately be captivating to work on an induction hob as i have one myself. If it isn't magnetic the heat can't penetrate through the metal.
