Cooking is a critical focus for the shopping network, and the intended audience for the new lined up under is people ages 35 to 54 who like to treat, he said.

The products, which will carry the Bon Appétit brand name, will cost $200 to $250 for a full set of cookware, or around $30 for singular pieces like skillets and pots.

All the products will be tested in the Bon Appétit examination kitchen, and editors from the magazine will be featured on HSN to discuss the products. The form ranks will be available starting in January.

“This is a line of cookware developed by familiar with cooks for home cooks,” said Adam Rapoport, the senior editor in chief of Bon Appétit. When selecting a product, the editors considered whether it would be usable to a home chef, where a home chef would store the result and what aesthetics were most important to that customer.

Related ads will run in Bon Appétit, but editorial delight in the magazine and online will not be affected, Mr. Rapoport said. “I’m not looking to do upshot placement in the magazine,” he said. But people who buy the cookware will see recipes from the publication packaged with the purchase.
