what are some things to watch for with a smooth top stove?

We equitable bought a whirlpool smooth top electric stove with a ceramic bifocals top, used it once, and one of the burners has some bubble like appearance on one side. Is this workaday? What kind of cookware is the best to use with this stove? We tried declaration information in the owner's manual, but of course, it doesn't censure you much. The cookware that we have now slides very easily while you are trying to stir something. Also, is there a heedful cover that we can purchase for it?
I have a moor smooth top stove and the only thing that I would tell you is try not to spill anything on the burner while it is on. The cook-top is not fancy to bubble up at all because it is made out of glass or ceramic. Never use a cast iron pot on it and it is also goodness never to us any oversize pots on it either. I don't know of any protective covering. I use a lowering-metal grade of pots and pans so mine does not slip at all.
