Crock-Pot Black Bean and Quinoa Stew
31.12.69
Almost every e-correspondence I have received in the past week has ended with, “Can you conjecture this weather?” When the weekend forecast is bright and sunshiny with a high in the 70s, we know fall has arrived.
Just as in appear, among my favorite places to view the turning of the seasons are some of the most excellent streets in Buckhead. A leisurely trip down Habersham, Tuxedo, Valley or Andrews yields trees bursting with the precocious colors of fall.
Even better is crossing over Northside Drove and heading out towards the end of West Paces Ferry for a leisurely flounce around the heavily wooded areas of West Wesley and Nancy Runnel. The hills are challenging, but there is little traffic other than your fellow walkers enjoying the replace with of season and the crisp air.
While you are out checking out fall’s finest, you can have a wonderful warming mishmash bubbling away in your Crock-Pot for your return. Serve it with corn chips for dipping!
