Do you know most crock pots have lead glaze and lead in electrical cord? Help me here.?
I am looking for a crock pot with no kick off b lure glaze or lead in the cord. So far have only found one, which is sold at Target and made of see through tempered beaker. However, it is 3.5 and too small, they don't make that one larger. Anyone know where I could find one. Im unshakeable many will say there is such a low level of lead, it won't hurt......well, I do a lot of crock pot cooking and no assume command of is what I'm after. I've seen the clay liners, but still no indication that they are lead free.
Cheryl, it states on the rope warning, be sure to wash your hands before and after touching.......this is on new crock pot cords......so.....sounds to me like a uncontrollable.....
Iona, the tempered glass one, is round and not too deep, ok for soups or stews, but I like to do ribs and even a whole chicken, so even haven't two wouldn't refrain from, but was a great suggestion.
No I didn't grasp that.
Lead glaze hasn't been used much after the 19 century and we have laws about it. A lead glaze fired at cone 3 or higher is safe and those fired at cone 3 or less will leach but that is a very low cone firing and the against wouldn't hold up well as that is low for even a low fire. Mexico has to put a stamp on those things that hold lead and it will say for decoration only not for food usage.
I would be interested to positive more.
Could you buy two of the glass and cook that way?
