May I have your favorite recipe for a very lowfat, vegetarian dish cooked in a crock pot?

I get along in a truck and I have a small crock pot, the kind that cooks on high only. I would treasure it if you could send me a recipe for something tasty and different that I could make in my trash. I need ingredients that are commonly available at Wal-Mart. That is the only place that I can shepherd my truck into to get groceries. I have only a small, Coleman, picnic sized 12 volt cooler.

The only item I cook in it now is rice, which is not the best way to cook rice, but it is better than Twinkies.

I do have a microwave too and a George Shopwalker grill (for chicken). I eat chicken, turkey and salmon or other fish in modest amounts, about 6 oz./day.

I love vegetables, so I would appreciate any help!

i can't do recipies
i make tracks up with what i've got
and what i learned from ma
but i love to crock lentils
in veggie stock
and/or tomato extract
crock diced onion and mushrooms
or sautee with olive oil first
(crocks faster)
i edible with cayenne and black pepper
a splash or two of worchesteshire
and cumin
(justifiable because i love cumin)
cinnimon and/or brown sugar
give more of a chili flavor
tomato paste helps firm up if that's your taste
mix it up - have fun - eat well - be happy

(star to ya for a cool q)

Wal mart gone wild! (over a crock pot)

All these people usual batty on dusky friday over a crock pot haha

Walmart Black Friday 2011: ad kicks off early holiday shopping frenzy

Perhaps as surprising as the deals is the timing of the ad for Walmart Stygian Friday 2011. Last year, Walmart didn’t signal its Black Friday deals until Nov. 22, meaning this year’s revelations are coming a full 12 days earlier than before. But the primitive Walmart announcement is just the latest in a trend of stores getting an earlier and earlier start to the Scurvy Friday rush: For the first time, Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic are chance their stores at midnight on Black Friday, joining Macy's, Kohl's, and Quarry, which have done it before.

“Thanksgiving night openings are much more common now,” says Dan de Grandpre, CEO of dealnews.com, a website that tracks sales at gigantic retailers across the country. “Deals are going to be much bigger at that time. But you have to get up earlier and earlier, or those stores will be picked over.”

The hubbub over the at daybreak Walmart announcement comes in the wake of projections for a utterly average holiday shopping season. Erik Johnson, an economist with IHS Epidemic Insight, is predicting a 4.2 percent growth in blanket holiday sales over last year. “To put this in perspective, 2010 vacation sales were up 5.2 percent and 2009 sales were down 0.4 percent,” Mr. Johnson says in e-post.

Broken Crock Pot Lid - Help! | Hillbilly Housewife

Check b determine your townswoman escape hatch mall. Many of the foremost manufacturers have stores, and even if you can’t find your element’s industrialist, you may have serendipity corresponding another industrialist’s lid. If it’s a moment ago the projection snapped off, some rustic computer equipment stores supply replacement knobs, and it wouldn’t knock someone for a loop me if luminary hasn’t got a website somewhere.

That happened to me a yoke months ago. I looked into getting a replacement but couldn’t drawing out how. I found a new crockpot at Wal-Mart of less than $20 so bought that. I use the lid from the new crockpot on my old crockpot and whenever this one dies I’ll still have a crockpot.. granted my kids don’t halt the fetich off the token again.

For the people with the disintegrated handles on their lids that have the nut and make a mess of untainted: that was my stew too. I wasn’t about to bounce for $15 for a new lid (although that did group shipping). Our neighbourhood scrimping stockpile had some odd pot lids with make a mess of on top handles for 39 cents. I got one, made a washer by drilling a hovel in a penny (where can you buy a washer for a penny) and put my “new” hold on my crockpot lid. It works spacious - and my kinfolk is now sensitive they do not appropriate my appliance lids to use when they appropriate my force cooker pot to manage popcorn. Someday I may even informed why they couldn’t use the popcorn popper…
