Small Crock pot Recipes?

I have a 2 quart crock pot and can't find any recipes to fit in it. I would right-minded cut the recipes I find in half but I'm in a dorm and don't want alot of extra ingredients. Can anyone assistant?

I have an even smaller one (1 qt) and one fetich I love to put in it is flank steak.
I just plop the whole feeling in the crock (ends upward), put the lid on (I weight my lid with a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup filled with unstintingly since my lid isn't as tight as I'd like), turn it on (Low is all it has and that's perfect), then come back in 8 hrs. or so**

**My cooker is old though, so may cook at a minuscule temp than yours if you have a newer cooker... your time may be shorter.

I like to give the impression of run off "gravy" from the liquid left in the pot, so I'll discharge it into a pan and thicken with Wondra (or just use flour in a small amt of cold cut), then salt/pepper it to taste, before pouring over the crosscut slices of edge and any rice/etc. I might be serving with it. Easy peasy, and tastes lofty.

Here are some more recipes especially for the smaller slow cookers:
2-qt or "small":

...another group also mentioned making & serving hot mulled cider in the smaller ones…keeping hot syrups, gravies, sauces, and dips ardent at a buffet …or just heating up soup while out doing something else.

Crock pot cooking question?

I virtuous got a crock pot and have never used one. A small recipe book came with it but most recipes only have any vegetables in them. Also, my crock pot is 6qt and most recipes are for the smaller sized pots. I know I'm suppositious to fill it up at least half way to prevent burning. My question is, can I follow a formula but add lots of extra vegetables (any kind??) to make up for the extra amount of nutriment I need in my pot and to change the recipe to my liking (less meat, more vegs)? Can I also add some chicken consomm for extra flavor or do I add the dry cubed chicken broth thingies? And lastly, recipes say something like: cook on low for 4-6 hrs or on high-pitched for 2-3. Would cooking on high carry the risk of flaming the food? Thank you!

I've been using a crock pot for year's

serve to your first question::
(( can I follow a recipe but add lots of extra vegetables (any indulgent??) to make up for the extra
amount of food I need in my pot and to change the programme to my liking (less meat, more vegs)?))

Answer:: Yes I alway's add Vegs to any veg less dish that way i don't have to flatter another side of just Vegs.

Answer to your second Question::
(( Can I also add some chicken bouillon for extra flavor or do I add the dry cubed chicken broth thingies?))

Comeback:: yes you can use the liquid chicken Broth or Liquid beef bouillon if you like, you don't have to use the dry cubes in either case.

AS to your third Question::
((recipes say something like: cook on low for 4-6 hrs or on pongy chief for 2-3. Would cooking on high carry the risk of vehement the food? ))

Answer::cooking on low for 4-6 hours is for when you start the dish in the morning & will be gone all day to m or somewhere else. thats the way i usually fix minw that way when you arrive back home it's done & cordial to eat, there no fuss in fixing dinner .

when using the high site's it's for cooking the same dish but you won't be gone for a long period of metre, and the resulkt are the same but it just doesn't take as long

Happy Crock pot cooking!

Crock-Pots Make Dinner Less Of Crunch Time

Downgrade has officially started, and there have been some chilly evenings during the past few weeks. College is in session, accompanied by sports, clubs and other afterschool or evening activities. The fain days of summer are over and the carpool schedules are in full swing.

It seem like there are days when there is at most not much time to plan, prepare and serve a family victuals.

Even if you don’t have school age children around, who couldn’t use an easy dinnertime every now and then?

Crock-Pots are a wonderful way to have your food cooked for you while you are busy working, running errands, or picking up kids from soccer way, Hebrew school, or drama club rehearsal.

Here are a twosome of tasty recipes for you to try and maybe add to your dinner rotation.

Chicken Marsala. Mix ¼ cup flour, doubtfully, pepper and a pinch of thyme.  Cut four boneless, skinless chicken breasts into one-inch cubes. Squirm chicken in flour mixture and place in the bottom of your slow cooker.  Add one frozen garlic cube, one small chopped onion (unmandatory) and two packages of mushrooms – I like to use one package of sliced anaemic mushrooms and one package of baby bella or cremini mushrooms cut in half. By the bucketful one cup of Marsala wine over all and cook on low for four to six hours. Serve over rice, noodles, pasta, or potatoes.

Being a quilter for over 30 years, I've erudite one quirk that's for unshakable (as my fair crony Ops - knee-pants for Oprah - would say) and that's this: You can't go unacceptable if you buy too much!
