Roast and my Hamilton Beach Crock Pot?

I'm about to use my Hamilton Beach crock pot for the first rhythm to make a roast. It is 3 QT. The settings are "off" "keep heat up" "low" and "high".

I requisite it to cook for a long time, so I know I need the "low" stage set...but I don't know how many hours to allow. Six? Eight? Twelve?

I read a review of this cooker that said the low mounting was good for "all day"...but again, how long is that?

Anybody have this take it easy cooker/crock pot, or is just really brilliant?

Thanks :)

Most recipes say eight to ten hours is careful. It is good to set it on high for awhile to get it warm (1/2 hour) but do not desist it on high or the food will be charred. It doesn't hurt most recipes to renounce omit them on low too long, for ten hours or more.

So I got a second hand crock pot?

so I got a promote hand Hamilton Beach Crock Watcher. It is an older model with Auto budge. What is exactly is the auto shift for? It has no timer, since it is an older view. Can anyone tell me?

The auto scene cooks on high for the first hour, then adjusts the setting to low for the outstanding cooking time.

Hope that helps.
