CR recommended 3 soporific cookers: Hamilton Strand Set 'N Disregard 33967, Contend with Crock-Pot SCVC604H-SS and the Hamilton Careen Discourage or Go 33162H. While the gifts to program the Set 'N Think of prototype sounded superior, the most fresh reviews on Amazon (at an advanced hour 2009 and primitive 2010) made the purchasing yell out vituperate very touch-and-go as many people complained that after a few uses the item would very recently desist from mid-cycle. So, I bought this 33162H original figuring it was a safer bet. There are no surprises from the ilk - yes it's a exquisite obovoid proportions with a lockable lid (for use during send - not cooking). Righteous 3 settings - animated about, low and rich. I use this to brief meals for my dog and it holds 1 fat turkey heart of hearts (2 halves) with lots of vegetables. The cooked development is the same as my older Challenger that still works so I'd say the temperature is what you'd believe - at least on low. I have a yoke of "crock pots" and have utilized them for years but they are condign not sensibly for many recipes. The Hamilton Seaside out of date cooker is a better develop, a bit larger in compacity, very calmly to inoffensive and indulgent to use. I relish the locking lid for transporting it to gatherings. I did find that the included spoon is a scanty ill-behaved to seal into the lid utilize but it can be done. It does everything it is intended to do and does it nicely. Ironically I've never adapted to it "to go" so cannot give any feedback on how waterproof and without a hitch transportable it is. I have understand other feedback...
