What size pressure cooker should I get?

Skill tells me that the largest meal I make in a pot is when I cook corned beef, cabbage and potatoes. I project to add the potatoes and cabbage at the end of the cooking. Based on a nice usually-sized corned beef (that comes in a package at the grocery pile up), plus the other ingredients, what size pressure cooker should I buy? Of course I'm also abstruse over whether to buy a Kuhn, WMF, Fissler, Magefesa, etc. etc. Thanks! I know nothing about pressure cooking!

I warmth my pressure cooker.
Get one that is bigger than you think you will need. I say this because you do need a bit of margin in the cooker but there is also the possibility that you may end up cooking more in the pressure cooker as you use it more.
It is also good as a soup pot.
I start my split pea or bean soup by pressure cooking the big ham bone. Lots of flavor that way.
I due saw and electric pressure cooker at Costco for under $70.00 I think. The one I have is by Fagor.
Look for a pressure cooker that has genuine safety features. The old one I had had a weight that could be adjusted for different pressures. Low pressure could be second-hand for vegetables and the heavier weight would be used for meats. Most of the pressure cookers will happen with a recipe book play with the recipes in the book and before hanker you will be adjusting your own recipes.
I call it a crock pot on steroids. It will take the same meal you put in a crock pot for 8-10 hours and do it in in 45 minutes or less.
Where ever you get your pressure cooker total sure of the return policy, just in case you don't like it. Bed Bath and Beyond, with their 20%off coupon might be a proper place to start. They have a good return policy.

How do I fix my pressure cooker?

I received a Hasty II Super-Fast Pressure Cooker (made by Magefesa) from someone who no longer wanted it. The question is the pressure indicator doesn't work; it's supposed to move up and down to indicate the pressure but it straight stays where it is. I've tried taking it apart and reassembling it but I recollect I made things worse! I've already contacted the manufacturer but from what I can tell they don't attack this particular model anymore. I'd really like to be capable to use it! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? Is it possible to use it safely without it, and if so, what is the best way to be versed that it's reached maximum (or desired) pressure?
The reason I suspect that it's fragmented is because the first time I used it, the pressure was high enough that the rubber ring was creation to bulge, I could hear boiling, and I could hear the whistling of steam but it looked like it was being released in the fitting location. Can I test it by putting some water in and letting it smoulder for awhile to see if I've just been too wimpy to let it get up to full pressure? (I've never used one before so I have no guess.)
Dilbert: THANK YOU! It does NOT move at all, I've tried poking at it, etc, and nothing happens. Finally broken! I wonder if there is anything I can do to fix it. I've been to Magefesa.com but I don't think they make this model anymore so I be anxious that replacement parts might not be available either. Oh, well. Thanks for your response!

I changed my defence completely, because I just now went to my pressure cooker and noticed that I can simply test the pressure gauge when it's at room temperature. Simply put your tinker where the pressure goes, and see if you can easily push it to make the pressure indicator move. If you can force it easily, but the pressure indicator doesn't move, it implies it must be broken or something.
