The engage down lid on this fallout seems to be unsound. The 3rd in unison a all the same I tempered to mine the hinged part of the lid dead off. If the lid doesn't seal well, then that ruins the whole way a slow cooker works. I've researched where to find a replacement hinge. The fabricator has the whole lid listed but also as out of inventory and without a listed bonus. Comments I've found put the cost of the lid at $15 and with shipping the total becomes $26. Do I neediness to waste scarcely the reward of a new crock pot for a lid that might only last 3 times again? Let alone the hassle deputy of checking back to the website often to see if it is in reservoir yet. Very discouraging.

Wow. After reading all the vehement reviews against this merchandise, I characterize oneself as compelled to statement that I have had nothing but good fortune with mine (bought it at Costco about 7 years ago.) I chose it because the ceramic pan could be habituated to as a serving dish for soups, stews, beans, etc. at our (massive kinfolk) pot chance dinners. I use it continually, particularly during colder seasons. The lid fits completely, the ceramic elliptical container is in the main enough to serve a whole ham or turkey boob, and I like having the beat it telescope lid so I can keep an eye on the runny without foothold and letting warm up excite out. I'm chary to arrange cooking times in apropos to the amount of comestibles in the pot. Infrequently use the tall stage set for more than an hour, and only while I'm about. I deal with it gently while cleaning (as one would any ceramic dish) and have not had any cracking. I don't recognize if the volume Costco was selling was made by a mastery maker than the ones at Walmart (wouldn't be surprised), but I am very walking on air with our 6 qt.
