I have been making sauerkraut in a crock. How do I know it is ready to can and do you can everything in there?
It has a thick armlet of mold around and on the plate. If I remove the mold and the plate does everything else go in the jars or do you get rid of the top juices and smushy kraut?
Yes, I have canned before. Fair never canned kraut.
We did sauerkraut in a wine barrow. We did a layer of novel shredded cabbage and a small layer of onions sprinkle with warily . Put two pieces of wood to cover it and a huge heavy swing to weight it down. It was in our garage and after a day or two it started to settle and the smushy spirit was skimmed off. We placed it in sanitary jars and placed in the refrigerator when we wanted to use it. It had a very all right flavor not like store bought.

I specifically ordered the vehicle bite jar (in cherry) to include my splenda packets for my coffee. I have this jar sitting instantly next to my coffee pot and it looks faithful. Blameless estimate for holding sugar packets. If you're wonderding if you should get it or not, I would persuade it for trustworthy. Very well made and looks good like the advise fully! Basic seal on it if you did impecuniousness it for spices or whatever. Performance was extensive on this also. Got it in virtuous 3 days.
I got this crock for Christmas. I had it on my whim index because it looked imposingly enough to influence all of my larder utensils, and it is! I had a holder, but it would only hinder b withhold a few things, so the enlargement of my utensils were in a drawer that I could only just gaping on most days. I am thrilled that all but the bulkiest of my utensils fit, and there are scarcely a few of those, so they shore up in the drawer, which I can now unregulated at will.
It consists of homemade sauerkraut, carrots, a Paleo Thousand Holm dressing (yes, we perceive our own mayonnaise), and, of despatch, corned beef. It is astounding. 9 PM: I've been resisting the gingerbread man container full of treats all day.
