How long should i cook a VERY small pot roast?
Aug 20, 2009 by Kola | Posted in Cooking & Recipes
I am cooking a very small pot roast in my crock pot on Elated..how long should i keep it in..
So dream of as the contents are primarily the roast and not many veggies, 3-4 hours should do it.
Actual favorite crock pot roast recipe: using a muscular crock pot
spray the crock with Pam. Layer in carrots, potatoes, onions and a serving or 2 of celery. Set the roast on top of the veggies. Spoon a can of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken or cream of celery condensed soup over the top (only 1 can, NOT 1 of each). Course a 12oz. can of regular Coke over the whole thing. Cover and cook on "low", 10-12 hours. The Coke acts as tenderizer for the gist (you can use cheap/tough cuts to save money and they approach out "fall apart" tender) and makes a mellifluous tasty gravy base. Dr. Pepper works charming well too, just a tad sweeter.

Where Did the Name Roast Meat Hill Road Come From?
18.10.11
The oldest entr in Killingworth is most likely Roast Meat Hill Course.
The road was originally a trail used by the Indians to take between the shore and their village to the north. The Indian village was located south of the Amalgamation District cemetery, around the junction of Roast Meat Hill Entr and the long-abandoned Wolf Meadow Road.
Some of the first houses in hand over Killingworth were located along or near Roast Meat Hill Method. Reference to Roast Meat Hill, a low ridge contest west of the road and south of Stevens Road, occurs in the records as betimes as 1746, although it was probably named earlier by the settlers in the southern part of borough.
The Clarkson subdivision is located on the northern part of the hill. The highest headland at about 350 feet above sea level, fortunately undeveloped, is no more than to the west of the Heman Franklin house. Beginning at its northern end, at at Route 80, the road extended southerly terminate to its present route. Above the Clinton line, it began to run southeasterly to glue Ben Merrill Road in now Clinton which extended southeasterly to Ironworks Technique. There are several explanations, most fanciful, of the derivation of the name Roast Food Hill. Most involve intentional or accidental roasting of livestock or pretend. One such story is that lightning struck a hay cart pulled by oxen causing the hay to char and roast the oxen. A similar story is that a barn caught fire and the fire spread so on the double that the cattle were unable to escape. Another is that an early settler was so over the moon with the abundance of his crops one year, and wishing to celebrate the commemoration, butchered a steer and prepared a sumptuous roast for his relatives, friends, and neighbors. Another translation of the same story is that a huge stag was roasted. Another explanation, purely hypothetical, has been offered by W. David LeVasseur, a former first selectman and municipal historian. According to LeVasseur, it may have been that a fete of surveyors while exploring came across the Indian camp and observed the fire pits and scattered bones of animals that had been cooked by the Indians. Thus, they named the plat “Roast Meat Hill”. A correspond to explanation is in Hommonossit Plantation by Susan Balestracci (1967). Mabel Stevens interconnected that as a child she was told the Indians would gather together on the Hill. The men would bear game which they would cook over fires. Thus, the name Roast Meat Hill was assigned to the area. This explanation seems possible, as an Indian Village was located a bit to the north of the hill.
