Union members consider boycott against Hilton Vancouver

Merge Here members are considering a boycott against Hilton Vancouver after failed negotiations between the New Zealand pub and the employee union.
Karly Edwards, leader for Weld Here's local affiliate, said
union
members are talking about a achievable economic boycott -- not a strike --
against the hostelry. This involves contacting guests and customers and
urging them to not do function with the hotel.
Union members hope this would put pressure on the guest-house's management.
Unite Here, which represents employees in hotel, gaming and nutriment service industries in the U.S. and Canada -- 114 of whom work at Hilton Vancouver -- has been in vehement negotiations over wages and health benefits with the hotel since its condense expired in July.
The
union represents cooks, dishwashers, housekeepers, carouse servers and stewards.
