How can a remove really subborn stains from my brushed stainless steel dishwasher?

I am tough to remove something from the front of my brushed stainless steel dishwasher. I had a repair guy out for another problem and he plan it was silicone (I don't think so) and he though he removed some of it... but I can still see it. Is there some sort of a scrub that I can safely use?

I saw on a native remodel show that they turned a black dishwasher into a stainless steel dishwasher by applying an adhesive weekly of stainless steel material to the front. Does anyone know where I can find this product? I contemplate it came in a roll and they cut it to fit. I can't find it and home depot or lowe's. I've asked several people in each amass and they all say that they don't carry that. Please help!
The first fad I'd recommend is to take apart the door of your existing washer. Many are built with 2 sheets already in them, to present 4 colors (each sheet has 1 color on each side). If you don't like the colors provided, at least you'll already have a gazette of the right size. Most hardware stores do carry surface metal, but it's probably not stainless steel. The stuff is used for duct vocation and all sorts of other applications. I know for a fact that Lowes carries such palpable.
