White or stainless steel over the range microwave and dishwasher?

I have a 7 year old whole white Maytag refrigerator and a 7 year old white Maytag stove which has a glowering flat top and the whole front panel of it is black glass.
I had to replace the thermostat in the stove (even though I seldom used it and now the bottom drawer holder broke so I need to substitute the holder!
I think stainless is the current popular choice; but ghostly would match what I have; however, I hate to buy white new things, if those 7 year old appliances are well-deserved going to break within 3 years anyway.
What would you do in my place?
I'm currently installing upon maple cabinets.

I as a person think that stainless steel is the way to go. Not only is it more popular/modern, but appliances are generally made (these days) in stainless steel, so when/if you supplant your other kitchen appliances, you will have a wider range of choices while you're shopping. Also, stainless steel can this instant up the overall value of your kitchen, as new houses are being built with all stainless steel appliances every day.

I watched on hgtv where they popped out the front & put a self-adhesive stainless steel-like "weekly" on it ....but I don't know what it's called or where to find it. Also, I don't think my front pops out.
The DW is cream w/ fictile control panel & flat press buttons. If I used appliance/susceptible spray paint, the buttons would still be cream.
My fridge & stove are stainless/steel/jet-black. I wouldn't mind going black except for those cream buttons. It's a Nautical galley Aid DW, about 6 yrs old. Also, my sink is cream - ok to ignore that??
A 6 year old dw should have an interchangeable panel. Dig out your owners vade-mecum. It will have step by step instructions.
